NUTELLA CROISSANTS

INGREDIENTS:
* 1 package (2 sheets) store-bought puff pastry
* ¾ cup Nutella
* 1 egg (plus 1 tablespoon of water)

DIRECTIONS:
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper or misting with cooking spray.
Sprinkle a cutting board or other flat surface lightly with flour. Then spread out the puff pastry sheet so that it is flat. Use a rolling pin to roll out the puff pastry until it is smooth and even. Use a pizza cutter or knife to then cut the puff pastry along the three folding lines into thirds. Then cut each long rectangle into two long triangles, making six triangles total.
Place a dallop (about 1 tablespoon) of Nutella on the wide end of the triangle, and use a spoon to spread it out just a bit over the triangle. (Try to leave at least a ½-inch border all the way around the edges of the triangle, though, so the Nutella does not seep out during baking.) Then, beginning with the wide end of the triangle, roll the dough up into a croissant shape. Place on a baking sheet, and turn in the edges of the dough slightly to make a “U” croissant shape.
Repeat with the remaining five triangles. Then repeat with the second sheet of puff pastry and remaining Nutella.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg and one tablespoon of water until combined. Then liberally brush the egg mixture onto the top of each croissant. (You can also use the egg wash to help seal the ends of the croissant, if they are not holding together.)
Bake for 20-25 minutes, until the croissants are golden and flaky. Serve immediately or store in a sealed container for up to 3 days.

PAO-DE-LO DE NARANJA




No recuerdo la última vez que compré un bizcocho. Debió haber sido hace mucho mucho tiempo. Incluso creo que nunca se ha consumido un bizcocho que no hayamos hecho en casa. Galletas sí, dónuts tuvimos una temporada que sí los comprábamos y muy de vez en cuando cae alguno (cosa de la que me arrepiento una vez me lo he zampado) pero bizcochos, no. Todas las semanas hacemos uno o dos. Tenéis la receta de muchos, otros no nos gustaron mucho y nunca aparecieron por aquí y de otros no nos cansamos nunca. Últimamente me ha dado por los bizcochos esponjosos y los prefiero a los densos.

El que os traigo hoy es una pura esponja, del tipo de los bizcochos genoveses que lo mismo se pueden consumir así a palo seco, que los puede rellenar para hacer tartas, los puedes acompañar con una mermelada por encima (bueníííísimos) o puedes dejar que se empapen en el café, cacao o té de la mañana. Vaaaale, de la tarde también.




Venga, vamos a encender el horno y a preparar el desayuno de mañana. Solo necesitamos huevos, harina, azúcar y ralladura de naranja. Nada, no necesitas nada más.


Ingredientes:

200 gr de harina tamizada
6 huevos + 3 yemas
170 gr de azúcar
ralladura de una naranja

Engrasamos un molde de 23 cm y reservamos.
Precalentamos el horno a 180º.



El secreto de este bizcocho está en batir mucho los huevos, en dejar que entre mucho aire. Y eso es lo que vamos a hacer, batirlos hasta que suban mucho de volumen y se hayan convertido en una crema. Es mejor que uses un robot ya que pueden estar entre 5 o 10 minutos batiendo.

Una vez tengamos una crema, seguimos batiendo y vamos añadiendo el azúcar y la ralladura de naranja poco a poco. A lo mejor prefieres que sea de limón en vez de naranja. Entonces sustituye la ralladura. La verdad es que a mí me gusta más el limón en los bizcochos, pero de vez en cuando hay que variar ¿verdad?



Seguimos batiendo unos minutos más. Entonces pasamos de modo automático a manual porque la harina la vamos a incorporar poco a poco y con la ayuda de una espátula para que no se bajen los huevos batidos.

Vertemos la masa de bizcocho en el molde y dejamos que se haga en el horno durante 30 minutos o hasta que al pincharlo con un palillo este salga limpio. Sacamos del horno y veremos que ha crecido mucho. Dejamos que enfríe antes de desmoldar y cortarnos un trozo.
Buen desayuno o merienda.

EASY DESSERT RECIPE: SMORES DUMPLINGS

Ingredients:

  • box of graham crackers
  • 2 large chocolate bars
  • ½ cup chocolate chips, or an additional chocolate bar
  • 20-24 large marshmallows (if you’re using regular marshmallows, cut them in half to shorten them)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp oil
  • ¾ cup milk
  • 1 cup + 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 quart oil, for frying

Directions:

1Line an 8×8 inch pan with cling wrap.

2Line the bottom of the pan with 1 layer of graham crackers, breaking up any of the cookies as needed to cover the bottom.

3Melt the chocolate chips, and spread about 1/3 of it on top of the graham crackers in a thin layer.

4Top the crackers with the chocolate bars, breaking them up as needed to completely cover.

5Spread more melted chocolate on the bars, then top with marshmallows.

6Finish by spreading a layer of melted chocolate on the marshmallows, then top with the remaining graham crackers.

7Refrigerate for 20 minutes.

8Now work on your batter: whisk together the egg, oil, and milk in a small bowl.

9In another medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

10Add the wet ingredients to the dry, and whisk everything together.

11When the chocolate is set, cut the giant s’more into 36 small squares. Make sure you use a very sharp serrated knife and gently saw through the layers. If any of the pieces break apart while you’re cutting them, that should be okay. If needed you can “glue” them back together with melted chocolate and re-refrigerate to set. You do need nice tight bites of s’more in order to batter and fry them. Be sure to keep the s’mores squares in the refrigerator until you’re ready to fry.

12Dip each s’more bite into the batter and fully coat.

13To fry: Heat your oil in a deep pan or pot. Make sure your oil is very hot, using a candy thermometer or any test you like.

14Gently put each battered s’more bite in the oil and fry until puffed up and golden brown.

How To Make Naturally Flavored Water

Supplies needed:

Fruit – Whatever kind you like (except bananas); make sure it’s good and ripe for maximum sweetness and flavor. Use all kinds of citrus and berries. Pineapple and watermelon work well for flavoring water. 

Herbs – These are optional, but many herbs are a surprising complement to fruit flavors; almost any herb will work depending on your personal preference

Jars or pitchers – Use 2 quart mason jars primarily, but any 2 quart pitcher will do. Fruit infusion pitcher is another option if you think you’ll be making infused waters regulary; a very easy, tidy way to strain fruit from water.

Muddler or wooden spoon for mashing fruit and herbs

Ice

Water – Use filtered water, but regular tap water is fine if it is hygienic.

Como hacer Mini Pizza de Berenjenas




1º Cortamos los extremos de la berenjena y desechamos
2º Procedemos a cortar la berenjena en rodajas, intentando que los cortes sean todos del mismo tamaño
3º Añadimos sal a las rodajas de berenjenas, para que estas comiencen a soltar el Agua de su interior
4º Secamos con un papel el exceso de agua provocado por la sal y pintamos las rodajas con aceite de oliva
5º Colocar en el interior del horno, y dejar que se horneen durante 25 minutos
6º Finalizado el tiempo de horno, vamos a poner a cada rodaja una cucharita de tomate y comenzamos a ir colocando el resto de ingredientes (puedes modificar estos ingredientes por tus favoritos)
7º Una vez puesto el queso como ultimo ingrediente, introducimos en el horno , opcion grill hasta que el queso este fundido.

Chicken Casserole

INGREDIENTS

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 package egg noodles

One 10¾-ounce can cream of mushroom soup

One 10¾-ounce can cream of chicken soup

One 8-ounce container sour cream

Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

4 slices white bread

1 stick unsalted butter, plus more for greasing

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat the oven to 350°.

2. In a medium saucepan, cover the chicken breasts with cold, salted water by 1 inch and bring to a low boil over medium-high heat. Simmer the chicken breasts until cooked through, 8 to 10 minutes. Remove the chicken out of the liquid and set aside to cool. Once the chicken is cool enough to handle, shred into small pieces.

3. Meanwhile, bring the cooking liquid back to a boil and cook the egg noodles until slightly underdone, 6 minutes.

4. In a medium bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, noodles, soups and sour cream. Season with salt and pepper. Place the mixture into a lightly greased 11½-by-7½-by-2-inch oblong pan. Crumble the bread over the top of the casserole, then pour the melted butter evenly over the top.

5. Bake until slightly browned on top, 20 minutes. Serve warm.

GRANOLA WITH CHOCOLATE TAHINI & NUTS

Ingredients:

*2 cups oats
*1 ½ cups mixed nuts ( almonds, hazelnuts)
*1 Tb flax seeds
*1 Tbsp chia seeds
*½ cup dried cranberries
*½ tsp cinnamon
*¼ tsp salt
*6 Tbs chocolate tahini
*2 Tbsp honey
*2 ½ Tbs coconut oil


Directions:

- Preheat oven to 150 C. / 300 F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a blender pulse the nuts until they are broken down to the size you want.
- Place nuts in a big bowl and toss with seeds , oats and cinnamon.
- In a small pot over low heat the coconut oil , tahini and honey. Turn off the heat and whisk in the salt until smooth.
- Add to the dry ingredients and mix well.
- Spread mixture evenly onto the baking tray and bake for 30 minutes.
- During the cooking time, remove the mixture every 15 minutes and stir well.
- With 5 minutes cooking time remaining, add the dried cranberries and stir to combine.
- Let the granola cool on the tray, break it up into clumps and store in an airtight container.

Happy Easter everyone with these homemade Organic dairy free, sugar free chocolate eggs


Recipe I used from @iquitsugar @pureharvest I hope you are enjoying some healthy treats too today 🐰🐰🐰

Serves 10
Time: to make including freezing time: 1 hour 15 minutes

Ingredients:
1/3 cup melted organic cacao butter
2 tbsp organic extra Virgin coconut oil
1 cup organic raw cacao powder
1 tbsp organic rice malt syrup @pureharvest

Directions:
Heat cacao butter and coconut oil on low heat & when cooling down add rice malt syrup. Remove from the heat and add cacao powder and stir in well to mix through.
Spoon into your moulds and freeze until set.

Enjoy these rich, healthy, raw treats with no added sugars, artificial colors or preservatives.
