vitalityandmore:

Have you cooked with Wild Organic Rice? We love it…Now technically speaking it’s not really rice but the seed of an aquatic grass that grows mainly in the regions of North America. It’s #glutenfree low in fat, high in amino acids and high in protein. Not only is it high in nutrients but big on flavor, with a nutty texture. I love having it as a side dish with my vegetables and salad, it’s really satisfying. This organic wild rice was from @thesourcebrunswick and below I will share my recipe for you to try. Happy Monday, wish you all a good and healthy start to the new week 💛💛

Recipe to cook on stovetop:
2 cups organic wild rice (rinsed well before cooking)
4 ½ cups filtered water or vegetable stock
½ tbsp Celtic salt
½ tsp chili flakes
1 tbs organic tomato paste
¼ cup extra virgin olive oil
1/3 cup organic pine nuts
Directions:
Place olive oil with pine nuts first in saucepan and then add in the rice and rest of ingredients. Bring to boil on medium heat, stirring well, until the liquid is fully absorbed. Basically you can season this dish with whatever spice you like, but this is how I make mine and I try and keep it simple it will take about 45 min - 1 hour to cook. I have garnished mine with fresh shavings of cucumber and fresh herbs. Hope this has inspired you for dinner. Lots of love A xox
