Homemade Caramel Sauce

Ingredients
1 cup unsalted butter
2 cup light brown sugar
2/3 cup heavy cream
Instructions
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter. Add brown sugar and heavy cream; whisk continuously over medium heat until sugar is dissolved.
Bring to a boil and allow to boil for only 3 minutes (do not overcook). Remove from heat and allow to cool.
Store in refrigerator for up to one month.

OR

Caramel Sauce from sweetened condensed milk

Ingredients :
- 2 cans sweetened condensed milk

Direction :
1. Immerse closed cans on its side in a pot of boiling water.
2. Leave on a simmer or light boil for 3 hours topping off with water as needed. Be careful and don’t let the water dry out.
3. Remove from heat and let cool thoroughly before opening can. Condensed milk should be thick and a nice caramel color. Don’t open the can while its still hot.
